 31.03.2005 Tirunelveli District Level Consumer Awareness Seminar organized by NSS Cell of Manonmaniam Sundaranar University, Tirunelveli and jointly organized by Department of Civil Supplies, Tirunelveli District held at Sri Paramakalyani College, Alwarkurichi.
 
08.04.2005 Tirunelveli District Level Consumer Awareness Seminar organized by NSS Cell of Manonmaniam Sundaranar University, Tirunelveli and jointly organized by Department of Civil Supplies, Tirunelveli District held at Rani Anna Govt., College for Women, Tirunelveli.
 
Workshop on RRC (Red Ribbon Club) Management for 28 RRC Programme Officers in the affiliated colleges held at University Campus on 08-09-2005 under the chairmanship of Vice-Chancellor.
 
District level Intercollegiate Oratorical Competition on Voluntary Blood Donation held at Sundaranar hall, Abishekapatti on 26-09-2005. Cash Awards and Certificates were given to the first and second Prize winners. Among the members the first top candidates of each district (Tirunelveli, Thoothukudi and Kanyakumari) participated in the State Level Competition, Sponsored by the Tamil Nadu State AIDS Control Society, Chennai.
 
AIDS Awareness Rally for NSS / RRC Volunteers in the following areas organized by the NSS and RRC of Manonmaniam Sundaranar University (Sponsored by TANSACS, Chennai through the District Collector) 28-12-2005 - T.D.N.M.S. College - Vallioor - 500 Volunteers

AIDS Awareness Seminar for NSS / RRC Volunteers in the following colleges.

15-12-2005 - St. Mary’s College, Thoothukudi
23-12-2005 - St. John’s College, Palayamkottai
30-12-2005 - Mano College, Sankarankovil
 
Two days Training Programme on National Survey for Manuscripts in Tamilnadu during at St. John’s College, Palayamkottai from 29-01-2006 to 30-01-2006 organized by NSS Cell of Manonmaniam Sundaranar University and District Library of Tirunelveli. 150 NSS Volunteers are participated in Tirunelveli, Thoothukudi and Kanniyakumari Districts. The programme sponsored by the Ministry of State and Cultural Programme. The above said volunteers involved to survey the manuscripts in the three districts.
 
Second Batch Workshop on RRC Management held at University Campus on 3-02-06 for remaining 28 RRC Programme Officers under the chairmanship of Registrar. Sponsored by the TamilNadu State AIDS Control Society, Chennai.
 
One Day campus cleaning Programme on 04-03-2006 in Tirunelveli Medical College Hospital Campus inaugurated by the District Collector, Tirunelveli District, Tirunelveli Municipal Commissioner and the Dean, Govt., Medical College, Tirunelveli, The Coordinator, NSS Cell, Manonmaniam Sundaranar University, Nehru Yuva Kendra conducted the programme. 200 NSS Volunteers are participated from the various city Colleges in Palayamkottai.
 
Annual Meeting of the NSS Programme Officers meeting held at District Science Centre, Tirunelveli on 13-03-2006. The meeting was inaugurated and the special address was given by Dr. R. Veerasekaran, State Liaison Officer, Tamilnadu NSS Cell, Chennai and other guests are Shri. Thirumalai Rajkumar, Youth Officer, NSS Regional Centre, Chennai. 160 NSS Programme Officers participated in the meeting from various affiliated colleges.
 
The University Level NSS Advisory Committee meeting held at Syndicate Hall, University Campus. Abishekapatti on 13-03- 2006. The Vice-Chancellor presided over the meeting. Dr. R. Veerasekaran, State Liaison Officer, Tamilnadu NSS Cell, Chennai, Shri. Thirumalai Rajkumar, Youth Officer, NSS Regional Centre, Chennai, Registrar, Principals and Programme Officers from various colleges are participated.
 
5320 Children engaged polio drops on 21-05-2006. 100 NSS Volunteers involved to assist this work.
