| MSU is situated at Tirunelveli (Latitude 8.44 and
longitude 77.44) a city of about 6 lakhs population. The campus is situated in a
land area of 546.98 acres at Abishekapati on the outskirts of Tirunelveli, 4
kms. from the municipal limits on the Tirunelveli-Tenkasi highway. Besides this,
the University has in its possession 179.89 acres of land in Sivalaperi village,
Tirunelveli. |

teaching cum affiliating University. The University has vast teaching
programmes offered by the various University Schools and Departments. Its
affiliating jurisdiction of colleges includes the three southern districts of
the state TamilNadu of India, namely, Tirunelveli, Thoothukkudi, and Kanyakumari. |
